With some prodding I have sat down at the computer, fired up some tunes, and am doing some more writing on the story entitled #Sophia. #amwriting

Ok so I haven't been aggressively writing on Sophia but I have had fun reading my notebook today... I'll go back to Sophia now.

So far the rough draft of #TheDeadZone chimes in at about 2500 words, mostly unedited in any substantive manner. Guess what, I still don't have the hero off of the bridge! I still don't feel that the stage is properly set to convey the emotion I am hoping for but I am getting closer. I've laid aside my other projects for the time being. I am oddly inspired by this piece. This started out as a bit of a lark and now I have to get it done. I have a couple of free hours tomorrow morning to work on this some more then my weekend is pretty much booked up. #amwriting

He sat back in his chair and listened to the radio which quietly droned on in his office. The announcer was barking out some details of some battle between the French Foreign Legion and the Imperial Japanese Army on the outskirts of Saigon in Cochinchina. Evidently the Vichy French colonial office was upset over their nominal allies administering one of their colonies. “In other news, Allied forces are pinned down in the port city of Basra, Iraq by an enemy force led by disciples of Grand Mufti Muhammed Amin al-Husseini…”

He looked at the calendar. May 30, 1974.
